The end of an ERA...
Mittal sahib as he was addressed with great respect by the society lived a healthy 70 years... started his profession as a chartered accountant in 1963, among a handful of early starters in this profession.
His brilliant and outstanding capabilities soon led him into a field dominated by few as a Chartered Accountant. He contributed his experience and knowledge to various institutions, clubs and colleges on regular basis.
He was a founder member of Ludhiana Management Association, Founder &Trustee of The Tax consultants Association, Ludhiana, promoter member Ludhiana stock exchange.
His professional brilliance reflected in his contribution of a large number of articles on Taxation, economics and other subjects to leading journals and magazines like CTR Taxation, Tax Law Review, The Economic Times, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and many others.
Arbitration was his FORTE. He officiated as an arbitrator in many financial disputes.He had the privilege to give a talk on Pre-trial arbitration on Doordarshan. Apart from that he contributed a complete paper on Pre-Trial arbitration. Apart from that his insight into the taxation laws led him to articulate his views for the Union budget designs as sought by the finance ministry
Not many people would know that the present VAT system was suggested by him a good 25 years back to the govt.
Being judgmental of his vast capabilities would find an appropriate mention in the pursuit and propagation of Naturopathy by him. He spent time and resources to spread the message of usefulness of adaptation of nature cure and Yoga in our everyday lives. A field study of 25 years made him a regular speaker on fighting common diseases through naturopathy at various schools and colleges.
For the past 2 years he has been regularly propagating the use of Wheat Grass juice for a healthy living by organizing free camps in schools and colleges.

His legacy is being continued by Mr. Neeraj SR Mittal, Mr. M.M. Aggarwal and Divya Aggarwal.
